The Rockies are in third place in the National League West. However, they’re only two games behind Arizona and one game behind San Diego. In the wild card they are tied with Philadelphia and New York. After a 6 game road trip where they swept division rivals San Diego and Los Angeles the Rockies return home for a three game series with another division rival Arizona. If they sweep Arizona there’s a very good chance we’ll see the Rockies in the playoffs for the first time since 1995.

As for the Mets, their inconsistent season has resulted in an epic collapse. Up 7.5 games with 17 games to play, they’re now tied with the Philadelphia Phillies. As a Mets and Rockies fan all I have to say is this….

HOORAY ROCKIES, BOO METS!

However, this epic collapse will have epic ramifications. Keep this in mind: the Mets are the only team in Major League Baseball with a Black Manager and the Mets are the only team in Major League Baseball with a Minority General Manager.
