Continuing with the Colorado ski theme, here are my top five Colorado Ski Resorts :
- Beaver Creek: It's about 2 hours from Denver but definitely worth the trip. Lift tickets tend to be pricey but you're paying for shorter lift lines, less people, and one of the best ski experiences on the planet.
- Keystone: Gondola ride. Night skiing. Great bars. Snowboard park. Lots of lodging options. Bowls.
- Copper Mountain: They offer the 4 pass for $80. Do the math: 80 ÷ 4 = $20. That's a bargain!
- Loveland: Door to door, Loveland is only 45 minutes away. My favorite ritual is skiing Loveland the day after Christmas using their 4 hour pass.
- Steamboat Springs: It's definitely not a day trip so plan on staying a night or two. The champagne powder is awesome! I actually met former NY Jets wideout, Al Toon, while getting my lift ticket (true story).
If you're looking for lodging this winter, check out this Frisco Rental. It's centrally located to all the major ski resorts.
